~ China will provide subsidies to businesses in some service sectors and consumers who take out loans to fund their expenditure, in its latest effort to boost sluggish domestic consumption
~ Starting from Sept. 1, consumer loans below 50,000 yuan will be eligible for the subsidy. Larger loans taken out for spending on key areas, such as automobiles, elderly care and childbirth, education and training, cultural tourism, home furnishings, electronics and healthcare will also qualify for the subsidy, but the lower rate will be limited to 50,000 yuan of the loan principal
